Forestville, CA – Davingy’s monumental abstract sculpture Golden Dancer is featured in Biafarin’s BOAPS Fall 2026 catalog, an international seasonal open art opportunity that provides artists with grants, exhibitions, publications, promotion, and global recognition. Through BOAPS, Golden Dancer is now available for purchase via the Artsy platform.
Ever the champion of giving old objects new life, Davingy often repurposes his own artworks to create new life. Golden Dancer is a piece extracted from a series done during the artist’s time in San Francisco’s Hunters Point and reimagined through suspension. The golden abstraction of geometric forms is framed by an incomplete silver triangle, adding substance and grounding definition to the piece. The asymmetrical form encourages movement in even the slightest of breezes. The viewer may also choose to engage with the sculpture directly, observing the kinetic effect they can have on the object. As it finds its center of gravity, the tilting sculpture is free to twist and dance. The precious associations of gold and silver, paired with the idea of a dancer tethered in place, recalls a ballerina in a music box.
“Golden Dancer is a piece that is especially meaningful to me because it showcases the elements that are the backbone of my practice, such as suspension and geometric patterns,” Davingy said. “I’m honored that the fine folks at BOAPS recognize the beauty in the work and are choosing to feature it.”

The Fall 2026 offering is BOAPS’ third “Seasonal Juried International Smart Online Exhibition” and is on view from October 15, 2026 to January 15, 2027. According to their press release, it’s meant to bring “together artists from around the world” and “offers a journey through intimate portraits, vivid abstractions, landscapes, wildlife, sculptural forms, and imagined worlds.”
While Golden Dancer is available for sale through BOAPS/Artsy, Davingy also has a collection of 50+ other monumental sculptures also available for purchase and/or to visit in person at his Orchard of Art in Forestville, CA. Separately, Davingy has also just made a portfolio of 200+ paintings available via digital exhibition for the first time ever.
