Forestville, CA – A package of a Davingy sculpture, historic farmhouse stay and tour of the Orchard of Art helped raise funds for Santa Rosa’s The Living Room in their silent auction on May 3.
In total, The Living Room raised over $100,000 as part of “Celebrating Women: Rooted in Resilience.” The non-profit is a collaborative community supporting women and their children during times of housing insecurity and urgent need. The Davingy package accounted for more than 10% of the money raised in the silent auction portion of the event.
Davingy’s auction package consisted of a Psychopop sculpture, a two-night vacation at his historic farmhouse rental in Forestville, CA and an artist-or-docent-led tour of the 50+ sculptures in the adjacent Orchard of Art.
Davingy first started supporting The Living Room’s important work in the community last year by opening up his Orchard of Art for a grand opening fundraiser event, which included a silent auction. The anonymous winner of Davingy sculpture Blue Slugger opted to donate it to The Living Room, where it will be installed so both residents and employees can enjoy the art.
