Wilted Corruption

Davingy found these metal planks on our property in Sonoma county. He loves the color and texture of rust, developed slowly over time. The forklift pulled the bunch upright in order to face them towards each other like they were deep in conversation.

Magenta and rust-orange collide and splay across the grass like the wreckage of some toppled monument in Wilted Corruption. The magenta steel props up a corroded sheet of weathering metal angled sharply toward the ground. Davingy lets decay become structure, pairing vivid powder-coat with raw, oxidized steel in a composition that feels caught mid-collapse, beautiful in its instability.
