Purple Gothic

Davingy frequents Building Resources, a salvage yard in Bayview and came across an old fireplace mantle. This install was broken up into 3-4 steps. The bottom is an upside down double-wide sink.

Purple Gothic is a faceted, cloud-like boulder weathered into a dusty plum color hovering above a salvaged Rococo mantelpiece. The two elements are improbably joined by a pair of cheerful gold rods. Davingy collides craggy geometric form, ornate carved stonework and candy-bright steel into a structure that's part shrine, part architectural punchline.
