Blue Jig and Jag

Davingy spotted this scrap sheet at the metal yard,
begging to be turned into sculpture.

Blue Jig & Jag is a 14-foot rectilinear column attached to a fabricated metal post, rendered in vivid blue and articulated with scrolling geometric shapes. Composed from reclaimed industrial materials, the work retains traces of its prior utility, the surface complex and of contemporary character. Shapes within the structure filter daylight into intricate, shadows that shift across the ground below.
