Artist Davingy & The Kubrin Group Join Forces to Support The Living Room & Sonoma County Fire District

Santa Rosa, Calif. – Art can be impactful in many ways, as evidenced by a recent collaboration between a regional artist, a Santa Rosa nonprofit, a local businessman and the Sonoma County Fire District.

David I. McGraw, also known as the artist Davingy, hired The Kubrin Group to amplify his work and community involvement. This partnership launched with a fundraising event at Davingy’s Orchard of Art on Oct. 11, 2025, including a silent auction to support the fire district. The Kubrin Group spearheaded the planning and production of the event, which culminated in an anonymous donor winning an auction for one of Davingy’s handcrafted sculptures. The winner chose to allow the artist to partner with a local nonprofit organization, The Living Room, to place the piece where it could be publicly displayed and appreciated as an enduring symbol of hope, resilience and community collaboration.

Inspired by the same spirit of service, The Kubrin Group further strengthened their commitment by making an in-kind contribution of basic needs such as hygiene products and seasonal needs to support The Living Room’s ongoing work with women and children facing housing insecurity.

The Living Room hosted both Davingy and Kubrin on Jan. 29, 2026, to announce the partnership and establish plans for the sculpture’s installation.

“We believe in investing in the well-being of our community,” Yarrow Kubrin of The Kubrin Group said. “Working for Davingy to support The Living Room and make art accessible for all via his Orchard of Art allowed us to provide both practical support and a meaningful expression of encouragement to the families they serve.”

The best part of this story is the intersection of different parts of our community coming together to benefit an important cause,” Living Room Executive Director Alethea Larson said at the Jan. 29 gathering.,” said Living Room Executive Director Alethea Larson at the Jan. 29 gathering. “Donations like this offer dignity. When someone feels seen and cared for, it restores dignity and builds connection. That sense of belonging is powerful.”

Together, these efforts demonstrate the many ways community members can give back through creativity, philanthropy, and partnership. What began as a fundraising effort for public safety has evolved into a broader expression of shared purpose and local collaboration. Community members interested in supporting The Living Room are encouraged to contribute through monetary donations, which provide the greatest flexibility in meeting urgent needs and sustaining long-term impact.
