Davingy found the surf board and mantle at a salvage yard. He likes the juxtaposition of the stern cement against the frivolousness of the surfboard.

From an upcycled fireplace to a color-rich surfboard, the focus is on the juxtaposition of stern, unforgiving cement and frivolous, floaty plaything.
