A heavy cement trash can and a handsome sheet of glass. Both from the salvage yard. Blue Trash and Glass is born out of Davingy’s ongoing interest in non-representational totems and features a large sheet of salvaged car window glass perched delicately atop a waste bin. The upright nature and singularity of the work can be compared to a human figure, yet is devoid of any specifically identifiable human forms, leaving the interpretation of the work intentionally ambiguous.
